HazMat Operations - Grant Funded
   
   
HazMat Operations is a 40 hour course based on the NFPA 472 objectives relating to initial scene hazmat response. This course is required for any responder who would have occasion to come upon or  respond to a release or threatened release of a hazardous material. 

Course work will combine extensive classroom coverage of definitions, placards and labels, defensive tactics and actions as well as practical evolutions covering a variety of situational responses. Each student will have an opportunity to practice defensive actions in simulated responses. This is an OSFM certification eligible class. Students will challenge the state test at the completion of this class.
