This 80-hour course is a SUFD exclusive with customized expansion of the OSFM FF3 certification course. Coupling classroom and self-study course work with extensive practical sessions, experienced firefighters will be able to gain valuable practical experience in many scenario based exercises.

The requirements of FF3 certification are covered in-depth with expanded coverage in our program including live fire training in our burn towers and training modules using our popular RIT Operations, Smoke Divers and FF Skills review courses.

Members who attend this course should have a minimum of 4 years firefighting experience after their FF2 certification and be in excellent physical condition. Out-of-class assignments will be issued to enhance the learning environment and are designed to make this a truly unique learning experience.

Students will experience live fire evolutions and work in some of the best training simulators available in the area. Students will be responsible for furnishing NFPA approved protective clothing and SCBA units for each day of training. Other equipment requirements will be listed prior to the start of the course.
