Vehicle and Machinery Technician (VMT) is the latest OSFM certification relating to NFPA 1006. This intensive course will improve even the most experienced rescuers ability to operate at incident scenes. This class covers advanced stabilization techniques, bus extrication, heavy truck and vehicle extrication and multiple scenario driven operations.  Machinery extrication practices are included to give the rescuer a well-rounded experience in this growing field of specialized rescue.

SUFD courses feature state of the art equipment, certified instructors and lots of hands-on opportunities for each student. OSFM certification credit is approved and students will be eligible for OSFM certification examination. SUFD was one of the first to pilot this course.
