Watercraft operations support many of the dive rescue and recovery operations as well as for certain firefighting support activities in departments equipped with a watercraft. Solid hull, inflatable and other types of boats are covered within this certification level.

 

The Watercraft Technician course is designed to cover types and limitations of rescue watercraft and support vehicles. The laws, launching and docking procedures, crew assignments,safety and hazards in watercraft operations, anchoring types and techniques andproper navigation of appropriate rescue watercrafts are some of the topics covered in this new OSFM certification course.

This course will feature classroom presentation and practical demonstration of the concepts of the course.
