Water Rescue Operations is a 32-hour OSFM certification class designed for those who respond to water emergencies. This is a NFPA 1670 compliant course just released as part of the Rescue Specialist certification program.
Classroom and practical applications include shoreline tending for divers, emergency boat operations and shore based rescue of victims in the water through both simulated exercises and actual time in the water. Students attending this class will have to provide their own water rescue operations equipment.
A list of gear needed will be provided when you register for the class and is available for purchase through local vendors at a SUFD discounted price. Students will be eligible for OSFM certification exam upon completion of this course.
